Size Differences Between Feed Pellets

The most common problems on the appearance of extruded feed are size difference, irregular shape, and poor pellet surface smoothness.

Size difference

Size differences between feed pellets are inevitable in extrusion productions. An acceptable range therefore is defined to identify whether a pellet is qualified in size or not. Pellets that size in the range are “uniform” and qualified, while out of the range are nonconforming products and should not be delivered to customers.

For example, feed pellets that extruded out from 3.0mm die openings if ranging from 4.2mm to 5.0mm are acceptable, while of 3.5mm or φ6.0mm diameter is unacceptable. Therefore, to control extrusion process and prevent nonuniform finished pellets from production is very important.

12th China Animal Husbandry Exhibition concludes in Qingdao

The 12th China Animal Husbandry Exhibition (CAHE) 2014 concluded yesterday in Qingdao, Shandong. It is the third time the event had taken place in the Chinese city of Qingdao. The exhibition which took place from the 18th to the 20th May, attracted approximately 100,000 visitors to the event. Over 1000 exhibitors took part in the exhibition, with around 200 foreign companies present. The exhibition covered areas of animal health, pig farming and breeding, feed and additives, poultry, poultry equipment, livestock equipment, feed milling machinery and equipment, and more sectors pertaining to the animal husbandry industry. Muyang New Target on Feed Machinery Sales

On May 1st Last year, Muyang new plant was put into use. Recently, the new sale data of Muyang came out and the sales of feed machinery were increased by 20%-30% compared with early years. This year, the sales of food processing machines are expected to reach 70 billion yuan.

The successful data is owed to the new plant. The new plant is equiped with world advanced automatic and intelligent production line, and is also a top-notch base with advanced feed  processing equipment research and development.

In the industry, Muyang first adopted production lines which introduced international advanced welding robots, automatic spraying and assembly systems. Since the use of advanced production lines, manufacturing and delivery cycle had been shorten by 3-5 days. As feed industry’s specificity, it had significant seasonal, so the customer requirements are usually the sooner the better.
